Shahrukh again lands himself into
another controversy by getting into an ugly
brawl with security Guards and Mumbai cricket Association officials at Wankhede
stadium. As per official reports, he abused and physically assaulted security
guards and MCA officials, when they were simply performing their duty and were
merely preventing Shahrukh to enter the Ground after his team had beaten Mumbai
Indians. Reportedly at the time of the scuffle, Shahrukh was also “drunk”.
This is not the first time, he has
tried to violate some rule and this is not the first time he has abused,
manhandled and misbehaved with people. Just a couple of
weeks ago, Shah Rukh was summoned by a Jaipur court for smoking during an IPL
match. In January 2012, SRK slapped filmmaker Farah Khan's husband at a
party.Few years ago, he had physically assaulted Amar Singh in Dubai as Amar
Singh was showing his annoyance to organizers for being not enough respectful
towards Amitabh Bacchan. In fact, he followed up his rude behavior towards Amar
Singh , when he made fun of weakness of Amar Singh for women publically in
a Film awards function. However, he still got away with ire of Amar Singh, a
very powerful politician during that period. Probably, as a senior leader of
Samajwadi party, he didn’t want to
antagonize minority vote-bank of his party. Only a few years ago, he fought and
had angry exchanges with another Khan(Salman Khan) of his size, stature and
temperament. This time, however, he had to bite the bullet as his khan-power
was neutralized by another firebrand khan. The unholy saga of his anger and
arrogance is endless. In fact, King Khan of Bollywood has so high estimate of
himself that if he has to undergo a routine security check up in US, he would
let whole world know about it as if he is really a “badshah” and deserves a
badshah kind of treatment in every part of the world.
Now look at the response of people towards him for his
intemperate behaviour. Politicians,
probably, are aware that he is an iconic symbol for his community and hence
they all like to pamper him. Probably for this reason only, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad
Yadav after the ugly brawl backed Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan
saying the media is not aware of the Bollywood actor's version of the
matter.Other politicians cum cricket officials like Vilas Rao Deshmukh and
Rajiv Shukla refuse to discuss the incident and probably are willing to get him
away with very light punishment for his violent behaviour. Even Mamata Banerjee
is also supporting him. Similarly, film personalities/film journalists have
again come out in full support of “Bad-shah”of Bollywood.Probably they are too scared of
overwhelming influence of this King of Bollywood and by criticizing him they
don’t want to invite his wrath and put their careers into jeopardy. For the
same reason, even after being slapped by Shahrukh, Sirish Kunder along with his wife Farah and brother-in-law Sajid
Khan went to Shahrukh’s residence, apologized and bought peace with him.Even
social activists and Media personalities remain either tightlipped or seem to
be supporting him as by criticizing him for his unseemly behavior, they don’t
want to lose their secular credentials.
How long will it go?Just because he is super star and “his name is Khan”, we dare not speak against him and pamper him endlessly.

So many times even we (common person) also face the outrage of these so called security persons, they feel pleasure in harassing people this is what i feel. Common Shahrukh is co-owner of IPL team, his children are also like our children feel the excitement, what harm can they do just by playing at the corners of ground, when you allow children of Mumbai IPL owner why not Shahrukhs little child and friends. He i think is more sensible then those guards as far as security breach is concerned.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the views Mr. Verma. A person may be a king in some particular field and so the society recognise him but this will give him a license to keep the law at under his boot. If security personnels are there this was puporsefull and we should respect the arrangements. However who are not the part of the arrangemetns can't get the importance of it. Any mis happening will make them responsible. Here we are slave of our jamindari Mindset and feel that this is for common people. If the celebrities recommends for fairness cream why not for fair at law.
